The Covoronavirus Pandemic Virtual Exhibition

The primary intention of this ART105 project is to explore a variety of ways to re-purpose books to make a sculpture in the round. An altered book is a form of art that takes mixed media to make changes to a book from its original form into a different form, altering its appearance and/or meaning.
Things that were started at the beginning of the semester have changed so drastically since March 2020. These are unprecedented times we are living through with the Coronavirus / COVID-19 Pandemic. I applaud the students in my class that took on the challenge to abruptly go to distant learning in mid-semester and continue to strive and create these amazing works of art. We hope you enjoy the works of art and accompanying text from each students’ interpretation of the assignment. Students were also asked to select a YouTube movie for sound to listen to when viewing their works of art.
Feel free to reach out and email them comments about this virtual gallery exhibition!
